Roddy Watt is an entrepreneur with some 35 years’ experience of starting, building, operating and advising businesses in the Hotel, Hospitality & Leisure sectors with a particular emphasis on providing recruitment, business services and general business advice. 

After an early career in Food & Beverage and general management with Hyatt International and the Sheraton Corporation working in the UK, mainland Europe and the USA, Roddy founded The Berkeley Scott Group in 1984, a company that over 20 years was to become the market leader in recruitment within the wider Hospitality sector.  Roddy has been responsible over the years for the appointment of many of the most senior figures in these sectors.  Roddy eventually floated Berkeley Scott on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange in 2004.

More recently, Roddy founded Buell Hospitality in 2012 and The Hotel Management Company in 2015.  Roddy is also the Founding Director of private equity backed Highland Coast Hotels, a hotel owning and operating business with six high quality boutique hotels around the North Highlands of Scotland.

Today he lives in Perthshire and spends his time supporting and advising owners of independent hotels as well as heading up operations at Buell Hospitality.
