A Case Study: Farncombe Estate
The 38-bedroom, 4-Star Dormy House Hotel, the 47-bedroom Fish Conference Centre and the 6-bedroom world-class venue, Foxhill Manor. The properties are all set on the beautiful Farncombe Estate outside Broadway in the Cotswolds, and all have benefitted from a multi-million-pound investment programme.
The aim was to recruit a world-class team to oversee the development of the estate and to operate the Dormy House Hotel post a major redevelopment programme to reposition the hotel as one of the finest leisure destinations in the country.
We deployed a number of Buell Hospitality’s Consultants & Business Partner companies to recruit a new senior management team, to recruit the entire operating team of 80 from scratch, and to advise on the future development strategy of the hotels and the estate.
I partnered with Buell Hospitality to assist with the complex transformation of the Farncombe Estate.
From recruiting one of the best senior teams in the industry and 80 members of staff for the re-opening of Dormy House and our new House Spa, to providing advice on estate management, planning, training, and general counsel, they are my first port of call – virtually whatever the issue.
