A Case Study: The Langham

The supply of top quality fruit & veg is of particular importance to the hotel with a total category spend of over £400k per year.

Nicky and the team at the Full Range conducted a thorough benchmarking exercise of the existing supply base and identified a potential saving of 9% by moving to their nominated supply partner in London. The decision to change supplier was a significant one so it was important to gain the approval of the Executive Chef which The Full Range took responsibility for and facilitated introductory meetings with their chosen supplier. They provided all the necessary product information to allow the details to be uploaded to our e-procurement system and were on hand every step of the way in the implementation phase.

The first orders were placed in November 2016 and volumes have grown since that time, with the majority of spend now with the Full Range supplier. The quality of product and service has been excellent and they achieved savings of £35k+ per year from this single vendor.

I have been working with Nicky since 2013 and in that time, she has been an immense support to me as Procurement Manager of the Langham. She has reviewed and benchmarked our core food categories and identified significant opportunity to consolidate supply and make savings via Full Range suppliers.
